Drone Training – ROAVR Group – UAV Training Courses: CAA Approved
National Qualified Entity Training based in Scotland
This landmark agreement means that ROAVR can now offer and deliver training right through to a recommendation for a Permit For Aerial Work.
This agreement is significant, as up until now operators based in Northern Scotland had to travel at best to the Central Belt but more normally to Southern England to sit their ground school. Flight assessments also required extensive travel and significant costs.
The first courses will go live in Scotland in November at Perth Race Course. Availability is limited so please get in touch now to confirm your place.

Several options are available depending on experience:
Integrated – The UAQ integrated course is a three day course that covers all the necessary components for an operator to apply to the CAA for a PFAW as long as you have at least two hours self-certified flying time. The whole course can be completed in three days.
Abbreviated – A two day course for people that already hold some form of CAA Pilots Licence. There is no CAA requirement to pass and theory exam if you hold a current CAA licence. Day 1 is practical looking at UAV operations via case studies. Day 2 is saved for the flight assessment.
Modular – Essentially the same as the Integrated course but with the option to return at a latter date for the flight assessment once suitable experience has been obtained.
Ab-Initio Course – This is aimed at all those who regains the value of learning to fly the correct way, from the start, treating this as a career investment and not just a hobby. For those looking for a job as a drone pilot or large organisations who will require common operating standards for their pilots.
Training is delivered by a world class team of industry professionals and manned aviators with decades of experience. We firmly believe this team is the best in the business!
